We woke up this week to manatees, stingrays and dolphins, viewed from our balcony at The Sheraton Riverwalk in Tampa. So beautiful. So glad to be in Florida!!! This is a recipe for a happy and healthy family, cast and crew. We just relaxed the first day at the super nice pool. Wednesday, we went to St. Pete's Beach and hung out for a few hours. Sophie loved the ocean. She kept wanting to walk out into the waves...holding tight to Daddy's fingers, of course. We took great care in slathering her in sunscreen a few times, keeping her shaded, and hydrated. We could have used that same care on ourselves to avoid the sunburned backs we ended up with. Ooops! That night, my mom and grandparents drove over from Orlando to have dinner with Soph and me. She was in heaven. And by she, I mean my mom... And Soph...and grandmom...and granddad...and me. It was great to see them. Next up...the zoo. We spent Thursday at The Tampa Zoo. It was a crowd free day, so it was super chill. The weather was overcast, so the animals were all lively and out and about...just like us. Sophie loved the monkeys!!! They were really swinging and showing off. It was awesome! She also seemed to really like the manitees. They had a great manitee "hospital", where they had saved some manitees from the props of boats, which left them with cuts all over their backs. Haven and Denny spent the day at the zoo with us, which made it even more fun! Saturday, Eric had two shows, so I was so excited that my parents said they were driving over for the day. We just hung out at the hotel and swam with Soph. Papa Joe even offered to stay and nap with Soph, while my mom and I went to the pool. Grandparents rule!! We took Soph to the theatre to see her daddy, between shows. It's so funny how at ease she is with him in the ogre costume. Funny, and amazing. She did NOT want to leave him, when it came time. You wouldn't think a baby would cry about being taken away from an ogre, but she really is breaking the stereotypes. She's so cool. Our family's first Mother's Day was Sunday!

It was as if Sophie knew. She have me the best cuddles in the world, when I rescued her from her crib in the morning. Eric's parents came from Ft.Myers with a group of their friends to the matinee. Soph and I had lunch with them before the show and saw them for a few minutes after the show in Eric's dressing room. We gave both of our mom's Pandora charms for their bracelets. They were a hit. I got flowers and a mommy balloon from Eric and Sophie. The best things I got though are the best husband and daughter in the world! I'm so grateful! After the show that night, we drove an hour to my parents and spent all day Monday there. We just grilled out and relaxed by the pool. It was a full house of family loving on Sophie, all asking if they could change the next diaper or do the next feeding. It is somethin' else. Now, to Jacksonville.
