Baby Shower #3

When we came back to NY, Leslie Diamond and Meegan Midkiff threw yet another shower for our new baby girl.  Mom Morabito, Michael Walker, Kelli Cervantes, Alana Niehoff, Leslie and Megan all came over to play Baby Bingo, drink mocktails, and eat yummy cupcakes!  Have you ever seen a child with 3 baby showers?  This baby is loved!!!

Baby Shower #2

A few weeks later we traveled to Florida for the wedding of my brother and  new sister-in-law, Trey and Ariana.  Eric and I both stood up in the wedding.  The weekend following the wedding, Lisa's best friends from high school, Ansley Schrimscher and Joy Schuck, threw a wedding shower for baby Sophie in Florida.  I love these ladies and they have remained true friends despite the miles between us.

Baby Shower #1

We flew to Chicago for our first appointment with Dr. Katz.  While we were in town, Eric's Aunt Pat and cousin Heather had all the ladies on his side of the family over for a baby shower celebration.  It was a fun gathering to celebrate bringing another young lady into this family with so many awesome ladies in it already.

Baby Doctor

After finding out that the tour would be starting sometime in July, we decided that we needed a baby doctor in both Chicago and New York.  The baby's due date, July 1, fell directly between the transfer from the New York rhsl period and the Chicago opening.  So we begged more than a few doctors in Chicago to take us as a patient during our 38th wk.  After a lot of no's , we received a yes and are super happy with our doctors in both cities.  

Actor News

It was soon confirmed that Eric would be playing the role of Shrek in the first National Tour of the Broadway Musical, Shrek:The Musical.  We decided that it would be the best of all possible solutions to have Sophia and Mommy come on the road.  I would continue on with her Assistant Directing projects until she hit the 6 months mark and Eric would film a few episodes of Law & Order and do a reading of Zorba with Antonio Banderas and Chita Rivera.   Exciting times in the Petersen household!  

It's A Girl

At 16 weeks, we found out we were expecting a baby girl!!!  Our list of possible names was cut in half and we soon settled on the front runner...Sophia Marie Petersen.

Telling Friends

We waited to announce our pregnancy until we were 3 months pregnant.  So, at the beginning of January, we began to tell our friends and extended family the great news!
