What Are You Doing New Years, New Years Eve?

I always think of this song on this day.  It's a standard that Eric always sings.  I love it.  Well, unfortunately we have no babysitter for New Year's Eve.  We were kind of sad we couldn't get someone to stay with Sophie.  It would have been nice for us to have a date...it's been a while.  We had his work functions, but something with just the two of us hasn't happened for a few months.  When push came to shove, It turned out to be an awesome New Years.  The three of us went up to Tracy's and met the new Young Fiona's and their respective families.  The girls are adorable and all the little girls surrounded Sophie and just giggled and watched her.  It was so sweet.  We had a glass of champagne and headed downstairs to our place.  Sophie stayed up just for the NYC ball drop and then she was out for the night.  Eric and I took turns walking down the hall to the Foley's for a quick game of Wii!  Then we shared a glass of champagne and brought in the New Year together.  Who could have guessed that the already million dollar view out of our apartment could be doubled when you add Fireworks!!! The city of San Fran chose to set their fireworks display off on the Bay Bridge side of the bay, which we happen to look out on!  Pretty stellar.  We wouldn't have had that view from many other places in SF:).
